Sources & Open Data
Where every route, stop, time and fare in Hat Yai Transit comes from, plus free downloads of our data and a public API.
Unofficial app: please double-check
Hat Yai Transit is an unofficial, independent community app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Songkhla PAO, Airports of Thailand, SRT, KTMB, ViaBus or any operator. Built by Aliff, an independent developer from Penang, Malaysia (TechMavie Digital). Times may be estimates; always check with the operator.

Where the data comes from
There is no official open data for Hat Yai’s buses yet, so we build it ourselves from public information: operator announcements, official websites and news reports. Each source below shows what it supports and when we last checked it.
- 🟢 Official Published by the operator or a government body.
- 📰 News Press coverage that backs up official information.
How times are labelled in the app
- SCHED Published timetable (SRT trains, KTM MySawasdee).
- EST Estimated from the published frequency (EV City Loop).
- NO FIXED TIMES Operating hours only, no timetable (airport minibus).

Licence & attribution
The GTFS feeds are licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0. In short, you may copy, share and adapt the data, including for commercial use, as long as you:
- Attribute: credit the data with the line below wherever you use or show it.
- Share-alike: if you publish an adapted version of the database, share it under ODbL too.
- Keep it open: if you distribute the data with technical restrictions (such as DRM), also offer a version without them.
This is a plain-language summary; the full licence text is what counts.

Unofficial data. These feeds are built from public announcements and community reports, not supplied by the operators. EV City Loop departures from stop 1 follow the Songkhla PAO timetable (frequencies.txt with exact_times=1); times at other stops are estimates. Airport minibus times are frequency-based estimates (exact_times=0). Verify with the operator before relying on them, especially for flights and border crossings.
The route lines in these feeds are generated with OSRM over OpenStreetMap roads (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL).
Public API
The same data powers a free JSON API, plus an MCP server for AI assistants. It works without a key; a free key raises the limits and unlocks the journey planner. Endpoints, limits and keys are on the Developers page.
Spotted a mistake?
Bus stops move, timetables change and fares get updated. If something here is wrong or out of date, please tell us on Threads. Helpful details:
- which route, stop or page is affected;
- what is wrong and what it should be;
- a link, photo or date that backs it up (an official post is best).
Send a message to @hiiialanhere or reply to a post. Replies on Threads are public, so please don’t include personal details in them.
For problems with the service itself (for example, a bus that didn’t stop), contact the operator. For the EV City Loop, that’s Songkhla PAO, tel. +66 74 244 443.
